QUIENES SOMOS?
QUIENES SOMOS?

Future Science Forum FSF-GERMEX
Connecting researchers
The Germany–Mexico Science Cooperation Initiative brings together early-career researchers from Germany and scientific partners in Mexico to create new collaborations, exchange ideas, and explore innovative solutions to shared global challenges. ZALF organizes the Science Slam under the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR)- funded “Future Science Forum” (FKZ: 01DN26019).
At the heart of the initiative is a Science Slam competition for early-career researchers in Germany. The three winning proposals will receive support to develop and lead interdisciplinary workshops in Mexico—creating spaces where researchers can meet, share knowledge, identify common interests, and lay the foundations for lasting research partnerships.
Five themes, one shared goal
The workshops will explore research at the intersection of science and society, with a focus on:
-
Life Sciences & Public Health
-
Environmental Sustainability & Climate Change
-
Energy Transition & Technological Sovereignty
-
Social Sciences, Inclusion & Structural Inequalities
-
Digital Transformation & Artificial Intelligence
From ideas to lasting partnerships
More than a series of workshops, this initiative aims to build durable scientific and institutional networks between Germany and Mexico. Through interdisciplinary exchange, participatory approaches, and open dialogue, it creates opportunities for researchers to develop new collaborations and contribute to more equitable, sustainable, and innovative futures.
